Upasana  Dhanda

Upasana Dhanda has been awarded her MPhil and PhD degree from Department of Commerce, Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi. Her MPhil research work involves developing and validating an employee engagement assessment instrument based on evidences from best companies to work for in India. Her PhD thesis examined how managers can drive corporate sustainability through the employees in an organization. She has published research papers in reputed journals (Scopus and ABDC listed). She is a recipient of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) granted by the University Grants Commission. She has been awarded Professor Samiuddin Memorial ICA Research Scholar Award by Indian Commerce Association and best paper award by Telecom Ecole de Management, France and Symbiosis University.  She has represented India on global platforms presenting her research at the United Nations, Geneva (2024) and at the Academy of International Business, MENA Chapter, UAE (2025). She has also served as International Faculty at Montpellier Business School, France, delivering soft skills training to global cohorts.  She has been a consultant with Indian Oil Corporation Ltd for gauging and improving the level of engagement of 23 thousand employees across India and conducted sessions for training women leaders for top management. She is actively involved in training and mentoring programmes, FDPs and MDPs for research scholars (Delhi University, IIT- Delhi, Panjab University, Amity University) and corporates professionals (Indian Oil, HPCL). In her previous teaching assignment, she has worked as an Assistant Professor at SGTB Khalsa college, University of Delhi. Her research interests include employee engagement, corporate sustainability, neurodiversity.
