Prof. Mohua Banerjee

Professor Banerjee teaches courses in Marketing Management, Retail Marketing, Sales & Distribution and Marketing Communication in India. She has been a Visiting Professor in foreign Universities like University of Bordeaux, University of Tours and Celsa-Sorbonne University in France. She has taught courses on the Indian Perspectives of Digital Marketing, Consumer Behaviour, International Retailing and Retail Supply Chain Management in the Masters Programme of foreign universities. Professor Banerjee has been invited as a guest speaker in The Retail Institute of Leeds Business School, UK, and at the University of Dauphine, France. She has also a been a visiting professor in Retail Marketing in the M. Com Department of St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata and the MBM Department in the University of Calcutta.

As an academician and researcher, Professor Banerjee has authored research papers in international journals of repute that are available across scholarly indexes such as the Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services and the Journal of Purchasing and Supply Management. She has published books and casestudies that are available on the Harvard Business School Publishing, along with opinion pieces for management practitioner journals and newspapers.

Professor Banerjee has consulted in the telecom sector and conducted practice-oriented retail research with Oxford Institute of Retail Management, Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. She has conducted collaborative research with Leeds Beckett University, UK, on Sustainable Entrepreneurship in Agriculture as a part of the UGC-UKIERI (UK-India Education & Research Initiative) Research Grant Project.

She has qualified in the IICA’s (Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs) Proficiency Assessment Test to be an Independent Director and is serving on the Board of Directors and Governance Committee of Electrosteel Castings Ltd. She is also serving on the Board of Srikalahasthi Pipes Ltd.

Professor Banerjee has received the "CMI Level 3 Award in First Line Management" from Chartered Management Institute (CMI) UK, and been conferred the “Certificate in Corporate Governance” by the School of Corporate Governance & Public Policy, IICA. She has been awarded the Prof. Indira Parikh - 50 Women in Education Leaders Award, from the World Education Congress.
