In a corporate career spanning 43 years, of which last 24 years as CEO of large diversified companies; Vivek has had an illustrious career.

 

He is an engineering graduate from IIT Kanpur and MBA from IIM Ahmedabad.  He has over four decades of senior management experience in General Management, Sales & Marketing, and Projects.  He has worked in diverse organisations like Tatas, Xerox, Escorts, Onida, Spice Telecom and Benetton. His last assignment spanning 14 years was in the Gulf as CEO of Lifestyle Group of Khimji Ramdas. Khimjis were exclusive franchisees for premium brands like Rolex, Cartier, Swarowsky, Samsonite, Chanel, Nikon, Rayban and Pizza Hut to name a few. As such, he has exposure to wide-ranging industries like retailing, luxury and lifestyle products, restaurant chains, consumer electronics, ready-to-wear fashion, telecom etc.

 

Throughout his career, Vivek had the penchant and passion to create the culture of a learning organization. A strong believer in enhancing the Team’s capabilities thru exposure to latest management trends, thoughts and best practices. It is with this driving force that he is addressing you today.

 

His other interests include reading, poetry and watching cricket. Son Varad is Partner with Dalberg Global Advisors. Daughter-in-law Pranjul is Chief Economist India with HSBC. Daughter Dr Manasi, PhD is Consultant with UNICEF and son-in-law Vaibhav is Sr Advisor WHO – both based in Geneva, Switzerland.
