V. Chandra  

Formerly with Council for Social Development, Hyderabad, Central Institute for Educational Technology, Delhi and IMT, Ghaziabad.  A certified trainer in personality profiling, worked on social problems relating to displaced persons, slum development and mass media and children. Published three books and several papers in India and abroad,  both in journals and in edited volumes. Conducted several training programs on communication Skills for both public and private sector companies in India. Current research interests include organizational communications and workforce diversity and career management. Member of the American Anthropological Association, life member of Indian Industrial Relations Association and NHRD Network.

Managing Change: Indian Perspective, in 1st Academic International Conference on ‘Learning Theories Asia’ hosted by Asia Europe Institute, University of Malaya, Malaysia, Feb 15-18, 2011, (Conference proceedings). 

Attended the 15th World Congress of IIRA at Sydney, Australia (September 24 – 27, 2009). 

Attended a six day colloquium on ‘Participant Centered Learning at Harvard Business School, Boston, 2008.       

Fellowship awarded by Goldman Sache. Presented a paper on Affirmative Action at the Asian Regional Congress of Industrial Relations at New Delhi (2007 April). 

Organized a Three day International Conference on ‘Work- Life Balance’ in association with Power Management Institute (NTPC), Noida in 2007. Also presented a paper on ‘Work Force Diversity’

Presented a paper on theme at the national seminar on ‘Western Management Practices and Eastern Cultures’ organized by GITAM Institute of Foreign Trade, Visakhapatnam during February 2006.                                                           

Participated and presented paper on ‘Diversity issues in Indian Firms’ in Asian Regional Congress of Industrial Relations at Tokyo, Japan (2000) and presented a paper on Diversity Issues in Indian Firms’. Awarded fellowship by Japan Institute of Labour. 

Case studies on improved workplace relations through labour management partnerships (IIRA Asia Regional Congress, Tokyo, Japan (2000) Vol IV of   conference proceedings.

V. Chandra  

Courses taught: Business Communication Skills, Manageriaal Communication, Written analysis and Communication, Cross Cultural Management, International HRM and Career Management. Also taught courses in Communication at IIT- D and IIM-K (satellite) as visiting faculty.

Executive Education:
 Conducted a series of two day workshops for Senior and Middle Managers on Communication and Presentation Skills for Hindustan Zinc employees (2007-08)


Also took sessions in MDPs for public and private sector organizations such as BSNL, Hindustan Zinc, Indian Oil, Maruti Suzuki, AICA, Bharat Electronics Ltd, ONGC, SJVN, ITEC etc., on Communication & Presentation Skills, Cross Cultural Communication, and Negotiation Skills.
