International Linkage

IMI India is India’s first corporate-sponsored management school. With years of collaboration from IMI Geneva (currently IMD Lausanne), the McGill University of Canada, Manchester Business School, U.K. and with strong support from Indian industry, this institute has grown into one of the most prestigious schools of management today. Both industry and the academician have already shown appreciation of the quality of IMI students.

IMI, India was launched in 1981 in collaboration with International Management Institute, Geneva (currently International Institute for Management Development (IMD), Lausanne). This collaboration has enriched the academic curriculum and promoted faculty exchange.

IMI, India entered into a strategic alliance with the Manchester Business School (MBS) in 1995. The MBS-IMI, India linkage operated under the Overseas Development Assistance (ODA) scheme of the British Council for faculty development, better administration, upgradation of library facilities, conduct and dissemination of research. This resulted in publications that were discussed at seminars in both New Delhi and Manchester.

IMI, India’s alliance with ESC Rennes International School of Business, France currently offers a Student Exchange Programme. Member of the Group Ècole Supèrieure de Commerce de Rennes, France, ESC Rennes has an extensive student exchange programme network with more than 115 participating business schools throughout the world and also official accreditation from both the French “Ministere de l’education Nationale” and the Open University, UK. This association is expected to enlarge in scope to include faculty exchange and collaborative research.

IMI, India and University of Austria, Graz have an understanding for student exchange.

IMI, India also has a Memorandum of Understanding with the Asian Institute of Institute Technology, Bangkok, for student and faculty exchange programme and joint research, including executive development programme.

There also have been India Exposure visits for students and delegates from UK and China.

IMI, India is the only Institute in the private sector to have received UNDP assistance for promoting internationally oriented management education. It has received support from several leading multinational and domestic private and public sector enterprises.
