Arnab K. Deb  

Dr. Arnab K. Deb is presently working as an Associate Professor in Economics at International Management Institute New Delhi. He holds a doctorate from University of Connecticut, Storrs in the area of Economics. He earned his B.Sc. (Honors) and M.Sc. degrees from University of Calcutta. Dr. Deb has more than ten years of experience in teaching and research. His research interest includes Applied Microeconomics, Production Economics, Data Envelopment Analysis, Mathematical Economics, and Applied Econometrics.

Along with various publications in peer reviewed journals such as Empirical Economics, Indian Economic Review, Management Research Review, Global Business Review, Dr. Deb has presented his research work in several prestigious national and international conferences such as NAPW VII, 2012 Houston, Texas, USA, 2012, 50th Annual Golden Jubilee Conference of The Indian Econometric Society (TIES), IGIDR, Mumbai, 2013, 17th International Conference on Data Envelopment Analysis, University of Calgary, Canada, 2019 and IMI_SASS Conference, Chengdu, 2019. 

He has worked on an NSF (National Science Foundation) funded project “Economic and Social Rights: Obstacle or Handmaiden to Growth?. Before joining the Ph.D. program he had served as a Research Associate in AC Nielsen ORG Marg, Kolkata and worked on two projects “District Level Monitoring of all Programs of Ministry of Rural Development, India” and “Moving out of Poverty: Growth & Democracy”.

Dr. Deb has received multiple fellowships and awards in his career. He has been awarded awarded the “Pre-doctoral Fellowships” by the Department of Economics for the period 2007 to 2011 and “Doctoral Dissertation Fellowship” by the Graduate School in the year 2012. He was also recognized with the “Abraham Ribicoff Graduate Fellowship” by the Department of Economics, University of Connecticut in 2011.
