Dr. Singh is Professor at the International Management Institute, New Delhi. Before joining the Institute, he was the Director of Institute of Management, Nirma University, Ahmedabad. He is an accomplished teacher, trainer and consultant. Earlier he was Professor and Chairman of the Organisational Behaviour Area at the Management Development Institute, Gurgaon. He has done his Ph.D. from the University of Allahabad, Allahabad and Post Doctoral Fellowship from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He was also a Visiting Scholar at the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Business Administration, Northwestern University, Evanston. He has six books to his credit, viz., the Social Psychology of Poverty, Human Resource Development, Managerial Wisdom through Tales, Learning to Lead, Developing and Designing Organisations for Tomorrow and Developing Leaders, Teams, and Organisations. He has published more than 60 articles in reputed journals, such as International Journal of Psychology, Journal of Social Psychology, Social Work, Administration in Social Work, MDI Management Journal, Management Review, Vikalpa, etc. He has done several research projects. He was the editor of Vision: the Journal of Business Perspective. He has consulted with several organisations, including Bharat Electronics, British Council, NLF, Samsung Electronics India Limited, DLF, New Holland, and National Thermal Power Corporation Limited, etc. He also helped Public Enterprises Selection Board in developing performance management system for top managers of navaratna Public Sector organisations. He is closely involved with upscaling of management education in India. His research interests are Leadership, Institution Building and Organisational Change. |
